Pottercast Live
Jul. 3rd, 2008 12:55 amSometimes working for Leaky Cauldron has the most awesome benefits. Like when Pottercast Live is playing in Tulsa and you get to spend time with Melissa, John and Frak in person rather than just emails or notes on sites!
Tonight was so much fun seeing the Live Pottercast and the wizard rock. Fun and friends. All because of a simple series of books based on a young wizard named Harry Potter.
As I write this, I'm currently relaxing in a hotel room with five other fandom friends including one of the other crafty witches (quietish) and I realize just what kind of gift this fandom has given me. Gifts that no amount of money can buy. I can sit down and share thoughts on the books and the characters with these friends and if they don't agree, they simply say so and why but without putting down what I see in the books.
I wish sometimes that working for Leaky Cauldron was like working my secular job. I get to see each of these wonderful workers every day. But it's not and I do realize that sometimes that's a good thing because when I do get to spend time with them, its all he more precious.
Pottercast Live is still on the road and I encourage you to go see them if you're in the area. It's a guaranteed fun and good time.
To Melissa, John Frak and those on the road with them, safe journey. Until we meet again
