So I haven't really posted what I've been up to since my trip to Memphis, except for a couple of projects. Time to show you what I've been accomplishing :D Err, and yes, these are all only since I came back the beginning of July

Your home is a

Spawn-camping Wizard's Stronghold

Your kitchen is manned by a team of Keebler Drow Elves. There's a pantry with emergency backup caffeinated beverages. You also have some breakfast cereals in there, but you haven't had breakfast since last Spring. Your master bedroom is decorated to look like the treetop village of the Galadhrim. Your study has every fantasy novel ever written, including multiple editions of the Silmarillion and advance copies of Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition.

Your home also includes a roost for griffons. You've never actually seen a griffon, but you keep the roost ready anyway. Your guests enjoy your home theater with hi-def plasma screen TV, and the thrones you watch it from. Outside is the moat that protects your home from goblin invaders and extended family.

And, you have a pet -- a unicorn named "Shadowhooves".

Below is a snippet of the blueprints:

Vladimir.....  My new laptop replacing Marius who stopped working near the end of that nice 16 day trek of mine in May.  And yes, I know several of you knew I planned to name this one either Marius or Maharet.  However, as I was setting him up, my mind was commanding my right index finger to type "m" while my left index finger is hitting "v" and the typing just continued until he was named Vladimir.  He wanted Vladimir he got Vladimir :D

First off apologies to [profile] kimberly_elf for completely forgetting to mention the lovely photo album she designed and had sent to me with memories from Phoenix Rising that arrived on that Thursday:

Friday found the beautiful original design afghan from [personal profile] hp5freak

And just because I never did get a picture posted when I got it, this is Iggy the Owl made by [personal profile] quietish and he came home with me when I went to visit her for Mugglefest in June.  Also pictured is his sister, Toriya who came home with me also!

And in case you're wondering, yes I do love red and black, very much :D

It's been a good birthday weekend in spite of the fact I've been sick.

Started with a wonderful SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Mail package from [personal profile] hp5freak and a Molly afghan.

Friday night after work, Joe took me to Bravo's, a small italian restaurant that we love to go to in Fort Smith, AR.  It was delicious with creamy garlic soup and salad.  A bruschetta for each of us and I ordered linguini olio agile while Joe had tortellini al fresco.  Both were great with some tiramisu for dessert!

Managed to get laundry done Saturday and organize some yarn for Ravelry stash log before having to lay down not feeling well.

Sunday after church though, we headed out to Altus and Kelt's Pub for brunch.  Joe took a book and I took crochet and we had a leisurely meal of fruit compote, eggs benedict, potatoes o'brien and black & tans followed by coffee.  On the way home, we stopped in Fort Smith at Hastings and for my birthday, Joe got me

    and

Monday, we were back in Fort Smith at Sweet Bay Coffee House for lunch and to meet up with [personal profile] quietish and her family on their way back home from their weekend with  [profile] sociallyawkrd   As you can see the hobbits were quite fun and cute.  Especially Jamie and her cookie that she's pictured with.  Well it was supposed to be a cookie before she quite nicely conned her mother.  It seems when they went to the counter, J informed Mom there were no cookies so was able to select chocolate cake instead.  Mom pays turns to leave and bet you can't guess what Mom sees in the display case?  *lol*  Nice movie J!

And Rosemary gifted me with some beautiful yarn for my birthday!  SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Today, more SQUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEE mail arrived from West Virginia too in the form of a little black dragon with red trim from the lovely [profile] jennbrad52

What mythical creature are you?

You are a Dragon!

You are a dragon. You are a huge over grown lizard.Your weapons are your HUGE teeth able to bite through flesh and you can breathe fire. You can possibly be tamed but I doubt it.

Spent a crafty celtic weekend at home.  Yesterday, Joe and I made colcannon and some corned beef for our dinner and as we worked on various crafts together, watched several Irish movies along with Best of Riverdance and another one called Dancing on Dangerous Ground.

Earlier in the week, I completed a Gryffindor Dragon for a HP Crafts swap I was in.  He should be arriving at his new home in the next day or two.

Also managed to get quite a bit done on the PR secret project that [profile] ofenjen and I are working on.  Perhaps another hint? :D

As well as birthing another 100 streelers and now we have 200 all happy healthy with eyes and antenna fully developed all ready to attach themselves to loving caregivers at PR.  Have another 100 or so that will be born soon as well.

Now getting ready to start a shawl for PR...found this fun yarn at Dollar Tree and thinking of doing shell stitch on the diagonal.

Yesterday was a complete squee day. The icy weather held off and I was able to drive to Fort Smith to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] quietish and Kelly of Fangirlish podcasts for some time together. This is not something that happens often because I am the halfway point between these two over a distance of about 600 miles. But they had a surprise for me and treated me to the movie Eragon and dinner at Bravo's -- a wonderful Italian restaurant on Rogers Avenue! Good traditional style Italian cooking, great service and atmosphere.

Having read the book and heard from others, I think it helped quite a bit that I did not go in expecting the movie to follow the book. They did change things. However, on it's own, as just a dragon saga, it was very good. Great flight scenes and Sapphira as a baby dragon was awesome!

Kelly and [livejournal.com profile] quietish ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could this possibly be a sign of too much addiction to dragons?  :)  Can't wait till we have a bathroom I can install them in
