if you look at the annie's attic page, you'll see it s only 4 different yarns and one of them is a varigated which is what actually makes it look hard. I think you can do it!

Everything is always based on the four basic stitches...

chain, single crochet, double, crochet, slip stitch.

Even half and treble are really variations of double.

I'm just getting the scarf thing down. I did some hats too, but I ended up fudging them to make it work. I have a few pattern books and I'm finding it hard to read all the abbreviations and keep them straight. I tend to forget to count too and I know that is key to following a pattern. I want to make a blanket this fall and more scarves for family and friends. Maybe after that I'll have the confidence to tackle a project like this. What I need is a good teacher. I'm teaching myself at the moment.

Well this is going to be an ongoing CAL so feel free to join and read along till you feel ready to take on the project.

It's a good place to ask questions if you need :)

Hugs

Oh, I will be reading along. And I will ask questions. Amber was a big help with what type of yarn works best and what books to look for when I first got started. The more help I can get the better.
