Mugglefest 2007

As quietish has mentioned we had an AWESOME time at Mugglefest 2007.  Once again the Norman Public Library (Yay Rebecca!)  went all out and with the support of local businesses, provided an great day of Harry Potter fun and magic for area families.  Rosemary worked the information table during the afternoon and I was the prefect for the Care of Magical Creatures class.  One of the demonstrations involved creatures I cannot stand and am totally terrified of... he went to the FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR end of the room away from where I would have to watch the door from me.  Obviously, as you have guessed by now there will be no photos of that guy in here.  However two wonderful officers from the Norman PD brought their partners, Pablo and Lux who were the most pleasant officers I have ever met.  Course I wasn't doing anything illegal with them around.  Two very beautiful german shepherds.

 At the end, each student received their own magical creature, a pygmy puff, to care for.  Over 300 pygmy puffs found a home.

Of course Lady Macbeth was with me and did a bit of fangirlin'

Ok Ok so I did too :)

However, so did Emily, the Merch lady for HatP!  hp5freak had created some great little cookbooks she gave us at PR.  She let me have a few extras and I shared one with Emily who immediately began squeeing and fangirling hp5freak's creativity!

However, we did find some unusual looking fans at Mugglefest!  *giggles*

Oh yea and what did I do between CoMC sessions... well, here's something you don't see every day Molly making Mollys!

Wow! That is a LOT of puffs! Glad they all found a new home! Hopefully they will all be treated very well!!

And Molly making Mollys... Seriously, as I said somewhere (Skype chat? Forum? Can't remember where, but I said it lol!), your apron thing over the Molly looks so damn close to what can be found in the movies!! Last time I said that based on what I could remember, but this time I actually went and checked:

It looks the same!!!! Are you sure you didn't steal that from the WB Costuming shop? ;)

Oh! And that picture came from The Leaky Galleries somewhere, but as it took me about an hour to find it the last time around, I didn't feel too much like doing the same today. So everyone, it's from TLC, m'kay? :P

Looks like you had fun! I so wish I could have been there too! At least your post allowed me to be there in spirit... a little :)

Thank you for the lovely post! You guys so rocked! I've been showing my bag of goodies to the other hard core HP fans. I'm gonna make a little display at my desk with everything - um, w/ a certain image from a certain play tactfully covered and so to be shown only to other librarians! (wonder if he will be following the play to Broadway???)

But that bag is probably one of the coolest nest of goodies anyone has every givent me - thank you thank you thank you!!

I'm glad you weren't too put off by the reptiles - I didn't even think to ask about that! Sorry!!
